Overview in the installation-space, de Branderij in Antwerp owned by Phil Bloom and Martin uit den Boogaard. The space inhabited a cybernetic organism kept alive by re-feeding it back generative impulses from its own system.
Cloudmachine, worked on steam. It formed a closed circuit with 'Aorta' in the center of installation. The refraction of directed light on the emerging patterns inside is thrilling. Between the two glass sheets is visualized how each drop of water makes us see their will.
Atrium of the heart. To keep the installation alive basins all over the space kept filling and emptying themselves in the rithem of its mechanical heart. Series of varying sizes of basins lined up however generates non-linear behavior. It gives identity to the system.
'Rainpiano' 'Wateromloop'. started to play notes as water passes through it. The object filles the surrounding space with a translation on what was allready there, humming and buzzing in the tanks. The pulse in the ducts is made audible now .
'To share with the fishes' by Sjef Meijman. Water is a shared mass. The psychological construction telling we are not in imediate contact with our complete foodchain through water is based on our power to neglect. This work demonstrates this fact through focus on the pysical aspect of touch
'Waterstairs' and the 'Aorta'. Serving water to sepperate works. Energy was put into the water through lifting it constantly to higher parts in the system.
